The Emerging Leaders Program is fully funded by MTA and a great way to experience the conference for the first time. Mickey Gallagher runs the ELP (she did the power point presentation on the income tax initiative at our last all union meeting). See the attached application if you are interested—deadline is Monday, June 9 for Emerging Leaders applications. Call Shauna at 617-287-6776 if you are interested to make sure your application gets in by June 9.
The summer conference is a great opportunity for many reasons:
- Informative and well run workshops/programs.
- Beautiful location in rural western Massachusetts.
- Conference won’t cost you a cent! Union/MTA will cover costs of conference and transportation.
- Great food and you don’t have to cook or clean up!
- Chance to meet people and make new friends.
- Parties and entertainment opportunities every night!
- Release time from work to attend.
Contact Shauna Manning at ext . 7-6776 or by email at shauna.manning@umb.edu if you are interested in attending the conference or have questions.
